An internationally renowned collection of 19th-century, modern, and contemporary art includes the largest public holding of works by Matisse, plus outstanding European and American art, African art, and a scenic sculpture garden. Throughout 2020, the BMA will present more than 20 special exhibitions focusing on the achievements of women artists. Part of Maryland's 2020 Year of the Woman.
